Hey there!
Welcome to my blog where we’ll be talking about all things art - inspiration, materials, sketching/painting process and more.
You can find my artist statement on the about me page, but let’s start off with some fun facts of who I am besides an artist.
1. Sunflowers have always been my favorite because of their bright and hopeful message of following the sun, but also because they spark memories of growing up with a bustling sunflower garden in my backyard.
2. I love exploring new places, especially coffee shops, and I’ve acquired a collection of coffee sleeves with each shop’s logo as a way of documenting my adventures and memories.
3. I am a total bookworm and read anything from fiction, religion, psychology and science.
4. My perfect day would start with a nice cup of coffee and book, listening to the birds outside and wind down with a movie.
5. One of the most unique experiences I’ve had was volunteering with a local firewood ministry to help chop, stack, and deliver firewood to homes for the winter.
6. If I wasn’t an artist, I’d probably be a vet or an environmental scientist, although I can often have a taste of all three because animals and nature inspire my art.
7. My favorite animal has always been a giraffe for no reason I can pinpoint, haha. I also love horses and dogs.
8. I am more of a cool weather person, though I like both Fall and Spring because they mark the change in seasons with falling leaves and budding leaves.
9. One thing I could not live without is a warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven.
10. My dream job is to illustrate children’s books and perhaps write and publish my own one day. I love tapping into my own childlike spirit.
I’d love to get to know you too!
